Effective Friday, September 26, the email notification feature will be turned ON
(Email notification alerts are delivered to your regular email account...in other words the account you receive IC newsletters and communication to)
What does this mean to IC Members?
The IC website is designed to encourage member collaboration. Many of the features available are in place to keep you informed of new members joining and to let you know a little bit about them - so that you may choose to expand your network of integration professionals.
There are 2 main types of notifications you should know about:

Connection Notifications

Group Notifications
Connection Notifications may be in the form of:
Group Notifications may be in the form of:

A new member has joined the IC Collaboration Group

A member has updated their profile (potentially contact information, company name, etc)
Until now, notifications of these types has been turned OFF in the back end to allow for existing IC members to set up their profiles within the new site without flooding your inbox.
Additionally, the DEFAULT setting for all member profiles is to have this feature set to OFF within your personal profile - until you edit your email/notification preferences.
As of September 26, 2008, the IC will turn ON this notification in the back end. You still have the ability to restrict what email notifications you'd like to receive by adjusting the settings within your profile.
(Click on My Profile & Look for My Preferences on the list of options)
